As beer traps for collecting molluscs seem to be almost too efficient and might attract molluscs from far away, we decided to simplify the mollusc survey add-on and will only use shelter traps for collecting molluscs (thanks Harald Auge and Martin Schädler for sharing your concerns and giving valuable recommendations!). This means for you all, that the mollusc survey addon is much simpler now (put cardboards in every plot, collect molluscs after one week and after two weeks). Have a look at the protocol (the updated version will be soon on the website, too), and please let us know soon whether you plan to participate. Our Master student Eva is happy to send you the required equipment then. As mentioned in our previous mail, Eva is also happy to travel to your site and help with the mollusc survey (Europe only) if you have little time – if this is an option for you, please let us know until 15th of February, so that Eva can plan her summer. 

So far, our four Swiss sites, Ioannis and the BadBug-team in Germany, Catalina and her and Micks Silwood site, and the Greek team around George in Patras showed interest. Would be great if there will be a few more!
